This is a Fluid Thioglycollate Medium utilized for cultivation of aerobes, anaerobes and microaerophiles from blood . This Fluid Thioglycollate Medium is sterile and comes in glass bottles. This product comes with 0.05% SPSA(Sodium polyanethol sulphonate, SPS)which is used as a nontoxic anticoagulant which enables bacterial growth and prevents the action of natural bacterial inhibitors of blood. Also, SPS inhibits the activity of streptomycin , polymyxin B, kanamycin and gentamycin.
