Transcription is the process by which the genetic code in the DNA sequence is copied into an RNA molecule and further facilitate the expression of the information stored in the DNA. Transcription requires a polymerase enzyme which used DNA as a template and generates an RNA strand. Apart from this, the reaction also requires magnesium ions and rNTPS.
