Protein A - CL Agarose is a product by GeNei. Protein A is used as a resin for affinity chromatography to capture mammalian recombinant Immunoglobulin proteins. It is isolated from the microorganism Staphylococcus aureus and is found to have high affinity for mammalian IgG. The Protein A - CL Agarose contains the Protein A, which can be used for chromatography as it is coupled with cross-linked beaded agarose. It is activated using cyanogen bromide activation.

Protein A crosslinked with Agarose is provided as a suspension sodium phosphate (10mM, pH 7.2) and sodium azide (0.02%).

Using spectrophotometry at A280, it has been found that that product has a 15 mg/mL binding capacity for IgG.
