The StepUp 1 kb DNA Ladder RTU from Genei is used for the analysis of DNA run on agarose gels. When run on an agarose gel, the DNA ruler resolves into 9 bands of linear DNA fragments of the size range 1 kb to 10 kb. The bands corresponding to 3 kb is the reference band and it is spiked to make it appear distinct. The product is provided in a solution containing 10 mM Tris HCl (pH 8.0) and 10 mM EDTA to prevent degradation.
