As a result of its excellent buffering capacity, it forms a major component of electrophoresis buffers such as Tris acetate buffer (TAE), tris borate buffer (TBE) and Laemmli buffer used in SDS PAGE. Tris-HCl, Molecular Biology Grade by Genei is tested to be free of DNAse, RNAse or protease.
